In the future WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH will be operating actively in the Brazilian market.
In January 2010 WEHRLE and Brazilian company, Fluid Brasil Sistemas e Tecnologia Ltda., signed a cooperation contract. Since 1990 Fluid Brasil has been active in Brazil in the field of industrial wastewater treatment.

Within the scope of the new partnership WEHRLE gained its first Brazillian order for a membrane bioreactor (MBR) project. The client is the pharmaceutical company DIOSYNTH, a subsidiary of Schering-Plough. DIOSYNYH needed a wastewater treatment plant for its factory in São Paulo and entrusted WEHRLE and Fluid Brasil with the planning, engineering and construction of an MBR system. With this project WEHRLE again demonstrates its strong position in the wastewater treatment market, using its proven MBR technology combined with know-how developed over the last 30 years

WEHRLE will be responsible for the planning and the process engineering, Fluid Brasil will manage the site installation.

“We are delighted to now be active with Fluid Brasil in the strongly growing Brazilian market and look forward to winning many other interesting projects,” said Hubert Wienands, Technical Director at WEHRLE.
