Wastewater treatment in the cosmetics industry – new order for WEHRLE |
||
|
WEHRLE will design, build, install and commission a system for the treatment of cosmetics effluent incorporating BIOMEMBRAT® membrane bioreactor technology. Extremely highly loaded wastewater from WIN COSMETIC at Flörsheim-Dalsheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, will initially be treated by a vacuum evaporator. The low-molecular substances removed with the condensate will be decomposed in the pressurized BIOMEMBRAT® process. By carrying out extensive pilot tests, WEHRLE could prove that a treatment efficiency of 95 % would be reached by using their advanced treatment technology. The BIOMEMBRAT® permeate was shown to meet municipal sewage treatment plant requirements, allowing the treated water to be discharged without any problems. The condensate quantity to be treated is 80 m3/day. WEHRLE’s client is Cobos Fluid Service GmbH, based in Munich (www.cobos-fs.de), who ordered the wastewater treatment system as part of a service for WIN COSMETIC GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of the DALLI group (www.dalli-group.com). The commissioning will take place in April 2012. Authors: Dipl.-Ing. N. Atanasova / Dipl.-Ing. D. Saum Translation: C. Hausin / A.
