Only one year after the first Brazilian project for the pharmaceutical company DIOSYNTH (more information on DIOSYNTH project ), WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH demonstrates once again its strong position in the worldwide wastewater treatment market and has gained an order for a new wastewater treatment project in Brazil.

The client is AmBev, the biggest brewery in South America and the fifth largest in the world, with more than 35 factories in Brazil alone.

Together with its cooperation partner Fluid Brazil, WEHRLE will plan, deliver, install and commission an anaerobic wastewater treatment plant to treat up to 26,300 kg COD per day.

For the first Brazilian project WEHRLE designed the plant to incorporate its proven aerobic membrane bioreactor technology. This project will be executed with the anaerobic BIODIGAT® SB process technology.

Commissioning of the plant will take place in December 2011.
